You Just Know When You've Found "The One"

How we met:

A little over a year ago, Amanda was invited to go to a church barbecue at the church she had attended years and years ago. She recognized some familiar faces, but one was unfamiliar and caught her attention. After her friend stopped attending regularly, she decided to ask the charming man if she could sit with him. Thankfully, he said yes. One night of sitting next to each other turned into hours of discussion at Sonic on Thursday nights and volunteering at a children's Halloween celebration (in full costume). [The things he does for me] Finally, David realized that he wanted to ask Amanda to date, but it took him a whole month to actually do it. After taking her to a nice restaurant and spending the evening talking, he forgot to ask. The next night, after bowling with friends, he finally asked at 11:11 p.m. (My wish came true) After getting to know each other a little bit more, they spent time going to see movies and running errands together.  This was only the start of a lifetime of love.

"There's one thing left I have to do..."

So, after some months of dating and getting to know each other, David knew he'd have to ask her parents for permission and blessing to marry their daughter. After nervously awaiting his birthday dinner and for dessert to come out, David built up the confidence and asked for their permission. A few days later, the two went and picked out "the perfect" ring. They both knew the ring would be ready in two weeks and planned to go out to dinner and make it official when it did come in. They planned to go to Olive Garden and to see a show, but the show didn't run on Thursday nights and he almost forgot their plans to go to Olive Garden. So, they finally make it to dinner, but he decides to leave the ring in the car because 'she already knows it's coming.' Next, they make a quick stop at his house to grab a jacket and he tells her that he would rather wait and surprise her with a proposal and supposedly takes the ring inside. [Yeah, she was a little bummed] After seeing a movie, he takes her home and she almost wishes he would turn around and just get the ring, but it didn't happen. He finally drops her off and walks her to the door and they say their goodbyes and as he turns to walk away, he nervously says, "There's one thing I have left to do tonight"... [drops to knee]..and asks,  "Will you marry me?" And of course, she said yes.
